After more than 35 years in private practice I have decided that I would like to spend my remaining time devoted to public service. The practice of law has been very good to me. I have been able to help thousands of people from all walks of life with their problems. I have argued for their rights in state and federal court and even before the United States Supreme Court.

Private practice has been rewarding but lately I have felt the call to contribute to our State in a different way, by serving on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. It was a humbling decision to make to run for public office, but I feel I have enough experience to offer myself as a candidate and let you decide in what role I can best serve.
